The students of P5 took it upon themselves to do some peer tutoring on their way through Living Things, Plants and Ecosystems in Natural Science. And they had a incredible time!
Trips outside to find flowering and non flowering plants as well as an insect hunt gave everyone a chance to stretch their legs and get out of the classroom for a while. We found this activity really interesting to discover the real world in the first hand so they will never forgotten it. In the expediction they found flowers, snails’ enviroment and how to grow the moss.
Later on in each unit the students got a chance to put some things together or explain with some show and tell. It was pretty amazing how they could transfer what they saw outside into a class work.
Role PlayStation and presentations, as well as some hectic questions and answers sessions round everything off. We were very proud of our students and their ability to know the world.
