DIARY of some World Travellers: February 21st

Wednesday, Day 3: Ireland

We went to the Emerald Isle today taking many of our own parents with us.

In I4A t we met Irish pirate Grace O’Malley!! We had great fun remembering who she was and some of the stories she was involved in. We all dressed in pirate’s clothes and we located on a map exactly where she came from as well as where the boats and castles she owned were. We had great fun and, at the same time, we learned a lot about her and beautiful green Ireland.

P2 went to visit I4A to dance the Irish Jig. They also talked about the 3 castles that we have been working on Blarney Castle, Kilkenny Castle and the Rock of Cashel. They took one of the castles they made in the Art class to show it to the infants and I4A told them about Grace O’Malley.

S3 also visited P2C. They shared their writing about Ireland and  danced he Irish Circle Dance for them.

The Irish stew for lunch was delicious too, for sure to be sure we will all be dancing to the Irish jig in our dreams tonight!
