In the School we have been playing traditional games in P. E. classes with the little ones in Primary.
These games allow the development of basic motor skills, as well improving coordination, so important in this first stage of Primary. In addition to having a great time during the classes, these games help us to accept and follow rules, they are an alternative way to fill free time, and they stimulate imagination and creativity.
At Yago School, we see fomenting an active and healthy lifestyle and teaching pupils to use their leisure time in a constructive way as a fundamental and necessary part of our role.
Games are, par excellence, the ideal medium through which we as teachers transmit knowledge. Therefore, in our P. E. Department we follow a fundamentally playful methodology, and we are convinced that we learn a lot through playing.
