The students in Optimus level 2, made up of Primary 1 and Primary 2 pupils, won the first prize in the II Optimus League; a unique STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) competition in Andalusia.
Some of students from Robotics and Programming, an extracurricular activity, attended the Final Event of the Optimus League 2017 after a course full of enthusiasm and learning, that took place in the “City of Knowledge” of Dos Hermanas with the attendance of more than 300 students.
The Optimus Education team, a Lego official partner, shared the work done during the course with students, families and teachers.
The Yago School students who enrolled in the activity and were divided by year group, learned the basics of robotics, programming and 3D design over 10 months. In addition to the development of their technological competences, they reinforced their creativity and mathematical thinking, improved their communication skills and best of all, they spent a lot of time learning and having fun!
