Last Sunday, May 6th, we celebrated our great charity event, “Fun Fair ’18” in our facilities at the international, bilingual Yago School school, with an educational community focused upon the event.

And as it is every year the involvement of students, families, staff and suppliers to the School is greater when it is about charitable causes.

We opened the doors at 12 o’clock, starting the day with a fantastic, animated storytelling and different fun activities such as balloon twisting, mosquitoes, and juggling workshops.

Just like every year, the youngest children from 0 to 5 years old had access to a daycare service so that their parents could have a quiet lunch at the bar run fantastically by a team of teachers led by Mr. Montiel and Mr. Morgado. We also set up a cafeteria, served by Ms. Valentin’s team, where wonderful cakes and cupcakes, coffee, smoothies, donuts could be tasted.

In addition, an area for children was created with fun activities such as Guess How Many? which was won by Ella Barrow; Face Painting; a Wii Zone, with Just Dance, Wii Party and Wii Sports; Basketball with electronic hoops; Aiming games; an Inflatable castle and Football.

And no Fair is worth its salt without an area of attractions such as a mechanical bull, bungee jumping, a climbing wall, a giant bouncy castle … next to stalls of sweets, popcorn and candy floss, Valerita oranges and chocolates from La Muralla de Estepa.

Mr. PY and his Science team organised the Science Corner. Next to the Chapel, an area was set up to present scientific experiments and have competitions where Ms. Salterain, Ms. Rogers, Mr. Walling, Mr. PY and Mr. Collins were in charge of choosing the winners.

Our great friend Alejandro Vega served as master of ceremonies, and we all ended up dancing to the sound of Dr. Diablo and Calle Botica who livened up the evening with their performances.

Ms. María Álvarez Ossorio was in charge of attending the great charity Tombola located in the Concert Hall where the Arts and Crafts market was also situated, there articles prepared by our students in their Art classes could be purchased.

Once again all the attendees, more than 1,400 people, supported with their contributions and assistance, the many causes with which The Yago Foundation collaborates throughout the year.

Thanks for your solidarity, we raised more than 20,000 euros to help those most in need.
