Last Friday, March 22nd, sports journalist Felipe del Campo offered a communication conference-workshop to the Yago School Secondary students.
The students attended their first press conference divided into two sessions of 45 minutes each. Each student represented a different media and they asked the famous journalist about his training, professional trajectory, experience and anecdotes about well-known players.
Felipe led the Sports Communication workshop by offering the children the keys for sports news in television. They learnt, by role playing, to interview and to develop sports content for television. The journalist focused on the essential notions of language, writing and body language, communication tactics in front of the camera and the keys to video editing.
Felipe del Campo, holder of a Journalism degree from Universidad Carlos III and a Political Sciences Degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, has extensive experience in television, including his participation during the 2010 World Cup for Gol Television. Currently, Felipe del Campo is the host of Gol, a morning magazine show.
This Conference is part of the Yago School Professional Guidance Program for Secondary students. In this program, we invite professionals with excellent training and extensive professional experience to the school. We consider it necessary in order to offer guidance to our students in their future studies. It also helps the student to know themselves better, to know what their strongest abilities are or to acquire useful knowledge for their adult life.
Felipe del Campo, we thank you for visiting us and we hope to see you again soon at Yago School!
