Two Spanish representatives from the prestigious ASET DIVE INTO SPACE programme that will take place in Madrid this summer, visited the school last Tuesday, April 2nd, to present their programme to the Yago School students.
The programme was designed in the USA in 2006 and, after success last summer, it will hold its second event this year at the Camilo José Cela University in Madrid, Spain.
For two weeks, all registered students will be able to enjoy missions, diving, aquatic robot design and to experience the zero-gravity conditions in which astronauts usually perform their training at NASA. They will also develop basic leadership and team work skills and they will have to solve problems which lead to personal growth in the face of challenges. In addition, the entire programme will be taught in English and students will be required to pass some tests to determine their suitability for the programme.
The organisers have selected Yago School because the student profile required by this programme fits perfectly with our Secondary students who have a B2-C1 level of English, an advanced knowledge of programming and robotics, physical skills and excellent academic training.
We consider that it is a complete programme that can enrich the development of our students even more. A privilege that only 32 students from all over Spain can enjoy!
