100% of the Yago School students presented to the ABRSM exams in piano, singing and theory, have significantly exceeded the objectives for their exams.
Once again, the examiners highlighted, above all, the rich musical training and careful education of our students as well as the means provided by the School.
The ASSOCIATED BOARD OF THE ROYAL SCHOOLS OF MUSIC, ABRSM, is a world leader in the organization of exams and evaluation of musical disciplines that is organized around four of the main Conservatories in the United Kingdom:
- Royal Academy of Music (London)
- Royal College of Music (London)
- Royal Northern College of Music (Manchester)
- Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (Glasgow)
Each year, the School presents a greater number of children who are music lovers, with more than 120 students presented last year. The ABRSM exams are designed to motivate and stimulate students of all levels. At Yago School, all students must begin with one hour of “Music Theory” and another of piano practice starting at the age of six, expanding with vocal training from the age of eight. They will continue with their musical studies until Secondary 3, when they can choose whether to continue as an optional subject.
ABRSM exams are a valuable tool as part of a broad musical education, and provide a guarantee of the level and individual progress of students. For this reason, our fabulous and devoted team of music teachers led by Mr. Montiel encourages our students to obtain these certificates that prove the children’s effort and progress year after year.
Yago School means quality Musical Education.
Congratulations to all!
