After the first week at home, we have a very positive overall assessment about the launch of our Yago School Online Platform.
Even before the Government’s decision to suspend classes at all Spanish schools as a result of the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis, Yago School anticipated this situation and began to work on the development of a platform that would bring learning home to our students, thus facilitating the process of homeschooling.
We are very satisfied with the work and involvement of our students via Yago School Online.
We must emphasize the natural and effective use that students and teachers from Primary 4 to High School and Diploma Programme, are making of this virtual learning modal. These students are autonomous, independent, and have a solid background in computer science, programming, and robotics, making it a breeze for them to make the most of the classes.
Younger students need the help of their parents to connect, though once they enter they have videos explaining the activities that the students must do, online classes, and live meetings with their tutors and teachers in small groups. Parents are very appreciative of the work and closeness of the teachers at this stage.
We are also continuing with the online tutoring with parents and, as always, the entire team of tutors, teachers, and the Counseling and SEN Department, are at the disposal of all parents and students for whatever they may need.
There are many families who send us their messages of satisfaction, recognition and encouragement day after day. The platform, which continues to evolve and incorporate new tools and content, is a clear example of success. As always, we will continue to work hard to guarantee the well-being and educational continuity of all students at Yago School.
