Given the importance of art in the infant education stage, we are working on art to encourage the creativity of the little ones by investigating renowned artists such as Joan Miró, Paul Klee, and Pablo Picasso.

Our Infant children have started to work on the Artist Corner. Each term, they meet an artist and work on their style and catch a glimpse into their lives. During the month of October, Infant 3, 4 and 5 worked with the artists Joan Miró, Paul Klee, and Pablo Picasso respectively.

The “Artist Corner” consists of the creation of a large mural with images of each painter’s paintings, information about their lives, and other curiosities about their artwork. The students are invited to work together with their families on this enriching project and then to give a presentation in front of their classmates in class where they practice public speaking. They are delighted to show their classmates their great discoveries!

This project aims to be a motivating activity, seeking to encourage student interest, and making it essential to work on their creativity. To encourage creativity in our youngest children, it is important to innovate and vary the teaching-learning process, which is why we propose to do it through different methods and with different materials that manage to capture the attention of the little ones.
