The Ceremony of Yago School’s first graduating class had an exceptional guest speaker, Mr. Javier Imbroda, Andalusian Minister of Education and Sports.
Yago School, a private school in Seville, held the graduation ceremony of its first graduating class, the class of 2021, on Friday, May 28th.
A historic and long-awaited ceremony, for being that of the first students, who opted for this cutting edge international educational project that began its journey 11 years ago.
For such an outstanding occasion, the School had the honor of hosting the highest representative of the educational sector in the Andalusian Government, Mr. Javier Imbroda, who offered a warm and motivating speech to Yago School students: “Do not stop training, cultivate the values that have been instilled in you at Yago School, and fight for your dreams.”, Mr. Imbroda instructed them.
He was followed by the speech of Mr. Ramón Resa, owner and director of Yago School, who highlighted the values and international training this group of students boasts. Mr. Resa was followed by Ms. Blanca Domínguez, International Baccalaureate Coordinator, who highlighted the importance of facing the challenges of the future with strength, underlining their extraordinary personal and academic trajectory in her emotional message to the graduates. Mr. Antonio Arias spoke on behalf of the parents who made a bet on this project and entrusted the education of their children to the Yago School team. Finally, María Sánchez, José Luis Llorente, Clara Arias, and Luis Ramos gave voice to the rest of their classmates.
The graduates received their diplomas and graduation bands, and Mr. Resa presented Adriana Vento with the Extraordinary Baccalaureate Award and Honorary Certificate.
After the video of memories, which brought tears and smiles to the faces of those present, the students of the 1st Integrated Baccalaureate, that is, students who are taking the IB Diploma program along with the Spanish Baccalaureate, sang the school anthem for the last time to their fellow graduates who raised their caps to the sky while cold fire cannons exploded.
In line with the importance that the School gives to music, this spectacular and elegant ceremony was enlivened by symphonic music under the baton of Mr. John Durant, a ceremony that marks the end of a fundamental stage in the lives of these students and also represents the culmination of a dream: to consolidate the most exclusive and complete educational project in Seville.
We truly enjoyed all the surprises planned! Although the event was held in a very special and complicated year, we wanted it to be unforgettable for students, their parents and siblings, as well as for the staff who were present. And so it was: a wonderful night that we all enjoyed to the last drop.
With only a few days left to say goodbye, the whole Yago School team feels tremendously proud of these students and their parents, who entrusted their education to all of us. Our first graduating class is leaving and we will always remember them for forging the way and closing the first cycle; we face their future with enthusiasm and the certainty that wherever they go, they will achieve many successes.
Congratulations to all of you, we will follow your journeys through firstname.lastname@example.org wherever you fly, which we’re sure will be far and wide!
