This term, with the aim of strengthening our international character and so that our pupils share experiences with children of other nationalities, we have started several exchange programs.
Last week we had the pleasure of receiving the visit of the brother and sister Jack and Graycen Malinzak, from the Bromwell Elementary School in Denver, Colorado, with which we launched our penpal project.
The PenPal Exchage Project
It consists of making an exchange of letters to bring cultures closer, practice the language, work on written expression and communicative authenticity when using the English language for real purposes. This initiative has awakened in pupils a special interest in being able to communicate with Americans and learn about their country and customs.
Jack and Graycen Malinzak delivered the first letters to our pupils, who received them with much anticipation.
Subsequently, the Primary 3 pupils, led by Mr. Walling, wrote their response letters, decorated the envelopes, and sent them all together to our new sister school in the U.S.A.
This initiative is an excellent starting point for future international exchange projects.
