IB Exams at Yago School

by | May 9, 2022 | Baccalaureate, Yago School

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program is taught at Yago School in both English and Spanish, on its own or integrated in the Spanish curriculum and, although it is focused on students between 16 and 19 years old, the student profile and the teaching-learning approaches begin to be worked on from the moment our students join Infant.

It involves inquiry-based learning that enhances the curriculum and is highly valued by the most prestigious universities (such as Harvard, Oxford or Cambridge). A path full of decisive strategies that help our students to build a brilliant academic and professional future.

During the exams, based on reflection and critical thinking, our IB students demonstrate high academic standards and apply the skills they have developed over years of preparation.

The students started their exams a fortnight ago, thus occupying their holidays of the Fair of Seville, where they have demonstrated their high level of commitment and responsibility, and and they will finish their exams next week.

Involving students in their own learning process, where they value and challenge their development, closely linked to the reflection of their own progress in their thinking and self-evaluation of how they learn, which is a methodology that seeks autonomy.

The background of independent research is an “asset” that they will be able to use for the rest of their lives, as it encourages them to develop a wider variety of needs than the methodology of a traditional baccalaureate.

In IB they have worked on and developed a multitude of skills; such as effort, planning, endurance, perseverance, respect and companionship, qualities that make them feel incredibly good and self-confident.

Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, Mathematics Applications and Interpretations, Environmental Systems and Societies, History and Computer Science are just some of the many tests that our students have taken, and some of them during the Feria de Abril. They are facing their challenges with total responsibility, full of dreams and hopes. Many congratulations on your incredible efforts, which will soon produce results!
