Yago School Non Uniform Day

Today the school celebrated “Non uniform day”, a solidarity campaign in which everyone who was able to come without uniform made a small contribution to help those affected by the volcano.

As the Christmas holidays are close, students and teachers have been able to come from home without uniform, wearing casual clothes with a Christmas motif, in exchange for a small donation that has gone to help the families affected by the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the island of La Palma.

Yago School Programa Diploma IB students

Throughout the school year, The Yago Foundation, with the collaboration of the students of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program under the umbrella of the subject CAS (Creativity, Action, Service), are organising different activities within the campaign “YAGO WITH LA PALMA”. The proceeds from the different projects will be donated to CÁRITAS DIOCESANA DE TENERIFE, which is the organisation that is managing the grants.

CAS, Creativity, Action and Service, is one of the fundamental principles of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. During the two years of the baccalaureate, projects and experiences related to these three fundamental elements are carried out. These are activities that have one main objective, to benefit the community.

Thank you very much to all of you for the great reception of this initiative and your great collaboration of 1,698€!

As always, students and parents have shown their great generosity and we would like to thank you all for the great reception this initiative has received.
