To encourage a passion for reading, collaborative work to solve problems, to develop students’ critical thinking, to investigate and explore their environment and to put their imagination and creativity to work.
During the month of October Infant 5 students have been working on the topic of Halloween from the book Winnie the Witch. To begin with, they received a beautiful letter from this witch asking for help to prepare a party.
The pupils got down to work and prepared decorations and invitations as well as rehearsing a beautiful song which they performed for Winnie the Witch.
They enjoyed a very special day on Halloween Friday with the visit of this special character Winnie and as a culmination to a great preparation work with multiple activities all focused on encouraging reading through innovative learning techniques.
We did not forget the short interview that the pupils prepared with so much love and which they did live, all of this preparing them to become great communicators in the future.
Our aim is to globalise our students’ learning and make learning more meaningful, while maximising and strengthening the different intelligences that each child has.
Infant children really enjoyed it!
